Stories from Crosspoint Students
Sami Gould - 12th Grade Girl
At Bigstuf 2018, I gave my life to Christ. This was a memorable moment in my life because I was going through a really hard time in my life and Bigstuf helped me realize that in order to get through that time that I needed to give my life to God. That week of worship changed my life for the better and I couldn't be more thankful for that experience. God showed me the people around me that week only wanted what was best for me, He showed me that the people around me loved me no matter what. I'm so thankful that I got to spend that week with some of my closest friends thanks to Crosspoint students
Zion Hurt - 11th Grade Guy
It all began on our mission trip to Nicaragua, I never would have thought I would be 100s of miles away from home in a foreign country if you asked the younger me. I felt something calling me to go and serve the people there. So I went without hesitation. Blessing the lives of those around us while we were there was incredible and just spreading the gospel to the village we continuously visited. Hearing the hardships from their children taken away because they could not provide to not having the proper nutrition. But with that said, they were the happiest people I have ever witnessed despite their situations. Americans back home complain about the smallest things. Being surrounded by poverty was eye-opening, gazing at it through a medium does not provide it justice. It was different when you are present. The best experience of all of this though would have to be the community we built. I became so close with my group of people, I cannot express the love for them. We still talk to each other today matter of fact. I would not have that group of people who I trust if I did not go where God called me to go.
