Bartow Family Promise
Bartow Family Promise is a program focused on helping homeless families living in Cartersville find permanent housing. By partnering with local churches that have a lot of classroom space and kitchens, a home is created for one week for the theses families where everything they would need is provided at that church.
During this time, staff members with Family Promise find permanent housing and a job for the parents so that after graduating from the program, they have a stable environment in which to raise their children. While the program currently has 11 “Host Churches”, they still need “Support Churches”. Support churches don’t host families in their own facilities. Instead they send volunteers to host churches to assist in preparing dinner, donating foodstuffs (cereal, milk, lunch fixings), doing laundry for the families, helping with activities during the day for the children and setting up/taking down.
We believe that the people of CrossPoint church can make a huge difference in the lives of these people by supporting the 11 churches hosting families. We serve every six-eight weeks.
